Description

FBT (Fused Fiber Optic Coupler) The fiber optic coupler is made by bundling two or more optical fibers, melting and stretching them on a puller, and monitoring the change in the light split ratio in real time, and splicing the optical fibers until the required optical fiber fusion is reached.
One end of the optical fiber is used as the input terminal, and the other end of the optical fiber is used as the multi-channel output terminal, and the whole thing can be packaged in a mini steel pipe or ABS box.
Because FBT fiber optic couplers have low material costs, simple manufacturing processes and relatively low prices, they only work at wavelengths of 850nm, 1310nm and 1550nm. However, PLC optical splitters can work in a wide wavelength range from 1260nm to 1650nm and their structure is more compact than FBT fiber optic couplers, so PLC optical splitters are more suitable for high-density optical fiber wiring applications.
